Piano

“Music...This is the favorite passion of my soul.”
-Thomas Jefferson

I have been a long-time member of the CMA group. I am a graduate of Swarthmore College with a BA in music and has earned an MM from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music. My background includes the study of violin, viola, organ, guitar and voice. I attended the Mannes College of Music in NYC and Mlle. Nadia Boulanger’s School for Americans in Fontainebleau, France.

I teach piano to adults and children and my approach includes essential aspects of piano technique plus basic concepts of the theory and construction of music. My goal is to provide a solid foundation that allows the students to move into any area of their choice: classical, jazz, show tunes, popular tunes, etc., and, pursue the exploration and enjoyment of music throughout their lives.
