Steve Marr
Saxophone, Clarinet – Steve Marr has been teaching in public education for the past 10 years. During this time he has worked with students from kindergarten to the twelfth grade as a band, classroom music, jazz band, orchestra, and choir director. Steve holds a Bachelors degree in Music Performance from the University of the Arts where he also minored in Education. He also attended Rowan University to earn his public teaching certificate.
As a performer Steve has played the saxophone and clarinet in many local bands where he has played prestigious events such as the inauguration of President George W. Bush, the R&B Foundation Awards VIP Party, the Wedding of Tiny Fey, private parties for vice president Joe Biden and many others. Steve has also performed and recorded with Luciano Pavarotti, Boys II Men, Kurt Elling, and can be heard on the soundtrack to the movie “Robots.”
Currently Steve teaches Band at Beck Middle School in Cherry Hill, NJ and is looking forward to working with the students at the Conservatory of Musical Arts.
